EasyEQ applet-demo version

Here is EasyEQ as an applet.. you can try it but you'll need to have the java plugin.. anyway.. try to insert some equations and press return.

A few quick examples of equations you can try follow:

• x^2+3*sin(5*x)-2
• x^2+sin(5*x)-5+tan(x)
• tan(x-x*cos(3.14*x))
• tan(sin(1/(x-0.5)))
• etc...

After that try to drag the black window with the mouse to move the coordinate system.

EasyEQ Pro is a java application that helps the student to understand mathematical equations. It's possible to type in a mathematical equation y = f(x) and it will be graphically rapresented in a x/y diagram. Because EasyEQ Pro is a java application, it is necessary to have the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) installed on your computer to run it.

Equation interpreter

EasyEQ Pro makes use of Nunni Expression Parser, an equation interpreter we develop and distribute on its own. Even though the interpreter accepts any number of variables, EasyEQ Pro limits it to only one variable: x (y= is implicit). The interpreted format of the equation is that normally taught in school. That should make more simple and straight forward the use of EasyEQ PRO.

Algebric elements EasyEQ Pro understands:

• operators: +, -, *, /, ^
• costants: integer and real numbers (es: 67, 417.0087546, 0.003)
• costants: simbols: PI, E
• variabiles: x
• parentesis: (, )
• funtions: sin, cos, tan, log, sqrt, asin, acos, atan, exp, ceil, floor, round, abs, sinh (es: sin(x))

Other functionalities

• The coordinate system can be moved around with the mouse
• X and Y domains can be set individually
• The step of values on the X and Y axis can be set individually
• It's always possible to reset and center the coordinate system with a click
• Any number of equations can be drawn at once
• You can add at any time a new equation by right clicking on the left pane
• Equations can be singularly enabled or disabled with a click
• Save/Open equations

Notes

• Whenever you change the content of any input field, press RETURN to confirm
• The unary operator - (ie: -5) is not yet implemented.. To insert an equation like -2*x-1 use triks like: 0-2*x-1
• Attenction! In between function name and open bracket there must not be any space!
• Some of the functionalities described on this document are not present in the base free version!
